I’ve had this for a while and thought I’d give it a review since if on the same subject as the site :)
It’s a nice little book containing some decent black and what line art which serves as a great reference tool. The layout is fairly straight forward and there’s plenty of images to take note from.
I get the feeling it’s marketed towards a male teenage audience , BUT, it’s definitely a book for older readers more familiar with. To be honest, I dunno how tthe USA market can get away with publishing some of the artwork in the book, since it’s pretty erotic stuff! Dont get me wrong- I’m all for a bit of hentai every now and then and although I’m sure mange Japanese readers (due to the Japanese culture) wouldn’t have a problem with it, I would have thought most parents who buy their kids this book will probably regret it once they inspect the content
On a personal level, I’ve have no problems with the content whatsoever, but it really shoulda been called "how to draw sex scenes" rather than "Let’s draw Sexy Gals". I’ve heard of far, far tamer manga books get taken off of the shelves in American schools and libraries just for it containing the typical big busted anime chick, so I wonder how well this one is going down with the parents?
Overall, it’s an ok book and I’d give it 2.5 outta 5. Probably not worth more than 5- 10 bucks though, in my opinion.
